James Resnick

Mr. Resnick develops and provides fire safety and injury prevention education and outreach programs and support to senior citizens of Montgomery County, Maryland through Training Outreach’s contract with Fire and Rescue Services. He is responsible for identifying, assessing and meeting the needs of County seniors and cultivating strategic partnerships through community outreach activities.

This includes presenting fire safety and injury prevention programs to both private and public groups including institutions, civic and religious groups, the elderly and special interest groups, assisting with public fire safety education efforts and training programs, home safety evaluations and instruction on escape and evacuation techniques as well as the implementation of any corrective actions needed in the home.  Mr. Resnick also identifies/facilitates opportunities between the fire department, County departments/ agencies and private organizations to coordinate and enhance the delivery of the department’s Senior Citizen Fire Safety Outreach Program and compiles data and prepares monthly reports on activities.

Mr. Resnick retired in 2014 as the Operations Battalion Chief, Montgomery County Fire Rescue Service, Montgomery County, MD and had a long career serving Montgomery County.
