Training Outreach to Support 2021 National ResilienceEXCH Virtual Summit
Training Outreach was hired as an advisor and lead meeting planner for a 3-day virtual summit on resiliency for their client, All Hazards Consortium. TO will help design an interactive and engaging program that will help participants learn, network, and collaborate with private sector critical infrastructure partners, state emergency managers, the federal government, trade associations, academia, industry, and research groups. The Summit will have several hundred attendees and is designed to create increased awareness of cross-sector vulnerabilities and inter-dependencies in supply chains, and help others become equipped with new ideas, approaches, and solutions to shape planning and partner development efforts.
Training Outreach Serves as Meeting Planner for MAFSM Virtual Conference
In November 2020, Training Outreach President Laura Johnson completed all tasks as the lead meeting planner for the Maryland Association of Floodplain and Stormwater Managers Annual Conference which successfully transitioned from in-person to virtual format.
Training Outreach Completes Drone Training for Montgomery County OEMHS
In October 2020, Training Outreach completed its contract with Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security to develop a small unmanned aerial system program to support disaster mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery efforts with the County.
Training Outreach Helps Client Pivot From In-Person to Virtual Gala
In October 2020, Training Outreach assisted its long-time client, the Border Patrol Foundation, in transitioning its Annual Recognition Dinner to a Virtual Tribute. Training Outreach designed the one-hour run of the show, provided crucial marketing and planning services, and ensured its client produced a virtual event during the COVID-19 pandemic that retained the quality and excitement of its typical in-person event.
Training Outreach Facilitates COVID Discussions for AHC
In Spring 2020, Training Outreach was hired by the All Hazards Consortium (AHC) to help create a series of timely discussions that included crucial lessons-learned for businesses and communities and provided guidance on how to develop new strategies and blueprints to support their response, resiliency, business continuity, and risk mitigation activities during the pandemic. Ms. Johnson facilitated more than 25 virtual discussions on topics such as the health care supply chain, logistics, transportation, secure information-sharing, business emergency operations centers, and more
Training Outreach Offers Federally-Funded HAZMAT Webinars for CERT Teams
In September 2020, Training Outreach agreed to support its non-profit client, Sustainable Workplace Alliance by offering Whole Community Emergency Preparedness and Response to Hazardous Materials webinars to CERT and other community teams nationwide. The webinars are 2.5 hours long and teach citizens how to better detect and respond to hazardous leaks and spills, as well as dispose of hazardous waste.
