Under a new contract awarded in December 2017, Training Outreach’s Jim Vlassopoulos is providing Accreditation Manager services to Montgomery County Maryland Fire and Rescue to assist with their ongoing program. Previously, Training Outreach managed this work under a contract from Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security.

Training Outreach President Laura Johnson served as Event Planner and Emcee at non-profit organization ICE Foundation’s Red, White & Blue Gala. The Gala took place at the Hotel Bethlehem in Bethlehem, PA in November 2017 and honored veterans who fight child exploitation.

In October 2017, Training Outreach was contracted work with Montgomery County planners and stakeholders to update the County’s Hazard Mitigation Plan. The tasks associated with this work will help to create an overall strategic plan to reduce or prevent loss of life or property due to hazards that occur in the County.

In June 2017, Training Outreach was brought on to assist Washington DC’s Homeland Security Emergency Management Agency with planning for several exercises, under subcontract.

Training Outreach was hired in August 2016 to perform a complete review and revision of Montgomery County, Maryland’s 2013 Emergency Operations Plan. Training Outreach will work closely with the Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security Planning Chief and Program Manager, as well as all stakeholders on this multi-jurisdictional plan inclusive of the four fully incorporated small cities and 15 towns located within Montgomery County.

In August 2016 Training Outreach was hired to provide outreach and marketing support for L3 Firearms Training’s Room Clearing Workshop, which will take place in Maryland later this year.
